Dublin Vacation Budget

Dublin Trip Itinerary

Dates: Sept 29 – Oct 5

Aer Lingus: 8hr non-stop, arriving the 29th

Weather: 55 degrees on average, chances of rain

Day 1: Sunday, September 29th

  • Arrival: Land in Dublin at 9:30 AM
  • Check-in: Head to Airbnb
  • Grocery Run: Walk to the nearest stores, Aldi or Lidl (8-minute walk).
  • Explore: Stroll down Grafton Street and enjoy street performances.
  • Visit: St. Patrick’s Cathedral (€10 per person).

Day 2: Monday, September 30th


Day 3: Tuesday, October 1st


Day 4: Wednesday, October 2nd

Relax: Free day to explore or revisit favorite spots.


Day 5: Thursday, October 3rd


Day 6: Friday, October 4th

  • Day Trip: Howth
    • Travel: Irish Rail operates a fast train service from Dublin Connolly station to Howth every 30 minutes. Tickets cost €6 – €8 and the journey takes 26 minutes. Buy tickets at the station.
    • Highlights: 
      • Main Street
      • Waterfront

Day 7: Saturday, October 5th

  • Flight: Head to the airport by 1:00 PM for the flight home. (€20 Uber)

Notes

  • It gets dark around 6:30 PM this time of year.
  • The Airbnb is a 23-minute walk to Connolly Station.
  • Tickets for the DART cannot be purchased beforehand.
  • Keep some cash for small purchases or tips along the way.
